Joseph the musical - Lee Mead as Joseph Your 2007 show reviews

After following the BBC series for the search for Joseph, and being instant fans of Lee from the start, my daughter and I booked a plane and came to London to see the show on Friday the 28th of December. What a party it was from the start. Extremely lively, very colourful and full of energy and humor. Lee's enthusiasm was very contagious, you couldn't help grinning along. The final Mega-mix was fantastic, revisiting your favorite numbers from the show and giving all the cast a chance to show off their talent.
We're Dutch addicts, and will be back in April with the rest of the family for more!
Marja and Lauren de Boer, Ermelo, Holland

I went to see the matinee performance of Joseph on 26th Decmber. l've got to say this was the best performance of Joseph I've ever seen! When Lee first came on stage there was a huge round of appalase and everyone was cheering!
Preeya wasn't performing today so Fiona Reyes was playing the narrator. She has a strong powerful voice which sounds beautiful!
When the childrens' choir sang their first note I thought that they were lip syncing because I've never heard a choir who could sing so good. All the songs were performed brilliantly. I loved every single second of it and it did not disapoint me at all. The megamix at the end was amazing! I don't know were they got all their energy from all of the singing and dancing before!
And who could forget Lee, he is probably one of the best Joseph's, and he is the right person from the job. At the end of the show Lee came out and signed my programme! I was so happy for the rest of the day!
Well done Lee!

I wept my way through Joseph! Having loved the Donny Osmond video, and watched it avidly throughout my childhood, it was very refreshing to have a new face and the fact that it was the one I voted for all summer and the fabulous Lee Mead was really icing on the cake! - and getting a sneaky kiss when he came out to meet fans must have the cherry on top!
Ellie W

I would like to say that this was an amazing performance by all the cast.
I voted for Lee in the Tv show and Lewis was my second favourite.
Lee played Joseph splendidly and really made my Christmas (I went to the 21st December performance). I also thought that Preeya has the voice of an angel.
The show had me laughing and crying all the way through it. I clapped so hard at the end that my hands hurt for the rest of the weekend.
And let’s not forget Pharaoh, what an amazing actor.
I took my mother to this performance and she was not keen to see Joseph, her hands were sore afterwards too. She loved it as much as I did.
Thank you all for a wonderful evening of entertainment.
Andrea from Swindon

I went to see Joseph on Friday 21st December as a 21st birthday present from my parents. There were 10 of us in all, and not one of us had a bad comment about the show. Having been in hospital the week prior the trip was close to being cancelled, but I suffered all the way down from Leeds that day, and boy was it worth it! The entire show was excellent, I could have listened and watched it all day without any other thoughts! Lee is the perfect Joseph, he was amazing and a true star - I have booked to see the show again and would recommend it to anyone! The best birthday present ever by far.....Lee is my new ''teenage'' crush - wow!
Lynsay - Leeds, West Yorkshire

My wife and I went as a birthday treat for her on Thursday 13 December. We had wonderful seats in row C of the stalls. We last saw Joseph with Jason Donavon and the first thing that struck me was how well the show had been updated.
I was a fan of the TV series that selected Lee and we were both amazed at his charisma and presence he had. His voice is so identifiable and clear. A real pleasure.
I also thought the children's choir were wonderful. Their signing was pure, their dancing was cute and they really felt part of the cast.
The show was a little too short, but maybe because we were enjoying it so much. The white mega mix at the end was something else. Great energy even after two hours of show time.
Thank you Lee, thank you Choir, thank you Lord - a great night out, a great show and we really felt we were watching a true star.

Fantastic, I saw the show for the first time in September with my Husband and took my mother on Thursday 13th December 2007.  She has seen all the productions played by different Josephs and said, by far Lee was the best. He gave it his all from start to finish, you can tell he absolutely loves it, he was born to play this part.
On a slightly different note, the guy who played the Pharoh on Thursday was superb.  I understand he was the stand in for the usual guy, but he was far clearer in his singing, you could hear every word - Well done, please can you keep him a litte longer?
Congratulations to Lee and I look forward to booking another trip down to see him in the New Year
Have a fab Christmas and well done.

Wednesday 12th December
I went to see the show on Wednesday night and had to drag my sister along for company. We travelled all the way from south west Wales just so I could see Lee Meed. At the age of 34 this was my first time in London & my first musical. I can say I was not dissappionted it was fantastic! The whole cast were amazing, even my sister who had to come to keep me company thought it was brillent. The whole thing just blew me away - it was lighthearted & funny, with wonderfull dancing & singing. A show like any dream will do got me to go to london for the first time & I loved every minute of the show.
Verity from Pembrokeshire

I saw the show on Saturday 8th December 2007 and unfortunalty Lee was unwell and unable to perform in the evening. However Lewis Bradley from `Any Dream Will Do` was the understudy adn what a brillant understudy he was too. The show was amazing and you could tell that Lewis absolutley loved the performance and both my husband and I were thrilled to see such an excellent performance. After the show I spoke to a member of the staff and asked how many times Lewis had performed as Jospeh and I was shocked to learn that was his fourth performance, I would like to congratulat him on such an excellent time and joy to see him as Joseph. I was an avid watcher of the television show and was diappointed when Lewis came third but he has proved that he can do it. Congratulations Lewis!
Maria Rayner

My Mum and I travelled down from Yorkshire to see Joseph on Wed 5th December 2007 after voting every week for Lee to win. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived to find he was off sick! Many others in the bar prior to the show were also mumbling that they felt the same however, having spent the money on travel and hotels we felt we had no option other than to keep our tickets rather than transfer them, as offered.
Lewis Bradley was our Joseph and he did a great job of it, unfortunately though he wasn't the one we'd come to see. It is a testament to the talent of Lord Loyd Webber and Tim Rice that, despite our unhappiness to start with, we still thoroughly enjoyed the show, I'd defy anyone not to! The whole cast were fantastic, not least the children.
I would like to thank Lewis for his performance but please Lee get well soon, I'm booking tickets in a second attempt to see you play Joseph, this time though I'm bringing the Husband and kids, I think they'll love the show!
Thanks again, Jayne (East Yorkshire)

Friday 6th December
I went to see Joseph with some of my family, and we had front row seats! We'd been looking forward to it for so long, only to find that on today of all days Lee Mead was ill, and Lewis was performing instead. This was dissapointing, it even made me cry! But, instead of changing our tickets and waiting even longer, we decided to go and see the show. Lewis was wonderful! I'm happy to have seen it with him, he did a brilliant performance, and he looked gorgeous! The cast were fantastic, and I don't think you could have moved the smile of my face from beginning to end. Of course, my Mum's already said we'll go back next year and see Lee, I just hope we can get front row again!
Clare, Reading.

I have always been a fan of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ever since seeing it at my local theatre many years ago. As soon as the TV series Any Dream Will Do began, I knew that I just had to get tickets to see the show, particularly when Lee won the lead role.
However, when I went along to the matinee on 5th December, I like many others were disappointed to learn that Lee was unwell and would not be performing that afternoon. We had a choice of a refund, but having travelled a fair distance and knowing that I had waited a long time to see the show decided to go anyway. I wasn't to be disappointed, Lewis Bradley did a superb job as the leading man and he too was a convincing Joseph, a very worthy replacement. I particularly enjoyed Fiona Reyes as the Narrator and Paul Basleigh was an excellent Pharaoh. You could tell that all of the cast were having a great time and injected plenty of enthusiasm and energy into their roles.
To anyone who is contemplating going to see the show - what are you waiting for? I have already booked up to see it again - here's hoping Lee will be feeling better by then.
Congratulations to all the cast!
Anne

I went to see Joseph with my family on Monday 3rd December. It was an amazing show. Lee is gorgeous and perfect for the role. Preeya was a great narrator. The whole thing just blew us away. It was icing on the cake when Lee came out at the end of show and gave us his autograph. He is so handsome and charismatic.

Monday 3rd December
Fantastic. I finally got to see Joseph six months after booking the tickets, and it was well worth the wait. Lee Mead was incredible, proving one hundred percent that he deserved to win his role, and his performance of Close Every Door reduced me to tears. The show was entertaining, extremely funny, inspiring, moving, and, at parts, thoroughly tear-jerking. My only regret is that the show had to end. All we need now is for this new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic to be released on DVD, so that we can enjoy Lee Mead's fantastic performance long after the show finishes. All my respect to Andrew Lloyd Webber, the cast, and, especially, Lee. He (along with everyone else involved) deserved every second of that standing ovation.
J Bennett, Liverpool

Went to see Joseph on Sat Dec 1st after waiting all these months. The show was excellent entertainment with the whole cast giving their all. Amazing when it is 2nd performance of the day. Paul adequately covered Pharoah, Preeya was in fine voice and Lee. Didn't realise how lucky I was because of his subsequent illness. I was prepared for him not living up to expectations but he was amazing. Sad, dramatic but also very funny. We were sat near back of stalls but could see every expression. Would recommend it for a fun night out. Will have to come and see it again!

Tuesday 27th November
I went to see joseph last night..what an experience..
PREEYA KALIDAS just blew me away with her beautiful voice, charisma and beauty i will definately pay to see her perform....my daughter was mesmerised by her...
LEE MEAD was great as joseph ...wonderful voice and also had charisma on stage...together they had great chemistry ..
The rest of the cast were superb with great dancing and i must say that Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice have created a unique musical that is unlike any other..
a definate dream ticket!!

My Name is Gail Savage and i live in Australia.I was lucky enough to watch the whole show of Any Dream Will Do and watch each week as Lee got closer to his dream. Then while visiting my daughter in London she got us tickets for Joseph. We saw the show on 21/11/2007.Not only was the show a highlight of my trip but one of the best nights i have ever had in the theatre!!! Lee is absolutly BRILLANT in the part!!! and it is lovely to see him so grateful to the audience.I am 55 years old and have been to a lot of theatre in differant countries and i can honestly say this experiance was second to none!!! Well done Lee and congratulations to the British Public for voting for the RIGHT JOSEPH!! please pass on to Lee there is 1 very happy lady living the other side of the world!! who is absolutly thrilled that he achieved his DREAM!!! Thankyou and thankyou again Andrew Lloyd Webber for giving us the amazing gift of Lee Mead in Joseph!!!!
Gail, Australia

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the special Children In Need performance of "Joseph" on Friday 16th November. Our hotel was only a few minutes walk from the theatre so we were able to watch Lee Mead opening the Children In Need show and he was great, despite the technical hitch with the microphone. There was a terrific excitement in the Adelphi as Lee descended onto the stage to sing "Any Dream Will Do" (but perhaps a little too much dry ice because he almost disappeared at one point). When the "fog" cleared you could see that he had a huge smile on his face and you could tell he was really enjoying himself.
The entire cast are fantastic, especially Dean Collinson as Pharaoh, but it is of course Lee Mead who is the undoubted star. He has a wonderful voice which just keeps getting better and better, and fantastic stage presence too. When he's on stage you can't really watch anyone else! His version of "Close Every Door" is without doubt the best ever. The only problem was that evening went too quickly!! Lee gave a short speech thanking everyone for the money the show raised for Children In Need and then the rest if the cast came back on for the "Megamix", showing once again what terrific singers and dancers they all are. You could tell how much the cast were enjoying themselves and they were even throwing Pudsey Bears into the audience at one point. We had great seats in the centre of the Dress Circle this time and so had a fantastic view when Lee was raised up above the audience at the end.
Mum and I saw the show back in July but this time we took Dad too. He's not a big MT fan (preferring cinema) but he was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Despite having to dash back to Television Centre for his second Children In Need appearance of the evening Lee still took the time to come out front afterwards to meet his fans and sign autographs and he was really lovely with everyone, what a star!!
Well done to Lee and the whole cast for a wonderful show once again. I'm now looking forward to seeing it again in February 2008 Congratulations to you all for a fantastic evening and for raising over £600,000 for Children In Need this year.

I went to see Joseph on November the 10th - the matinee performance. I just really want to see how amazing it was! Lee Mead was sooooo good, and we had Fiona Reyes as the Narrator, and she was amazing too! I thought the brothers were hilarious!!!! i loved every single number they were in! Everyone was just so talented, and i went there expecting to see something amazing, but it was so much better than that! I really really enjoyed myself and i feel so lucky to have seen it! I didn't want it to end!
Thankyou so much for a great show! It definitly made my day ... all the cast were so talented and i particulaley liked Lee Mead and the Brothers.
I loved every minute of it.
Keep it up!
Rachel

I went to see Joseph on the 8th November with my mum and my sister for my mums birthday. It was brilliant , Lee was very good and had every body up singing and dancing at the end of the show. The special effects very clever as well especially the camel . I also loved the baker and the butler who had us laughing out loud with the expressions on there faces ! Even though we were on the back row in the Gods it was still a brilliant view !
Mum thoroughly enjoyed her Birthday present which is all we could ask for.

I went to see Joseph on the evening of the 6th November. It was an absolutely amazing show and I loved every minute of it. It was being behind Lee in the TV show that made me book tickets, having not been to the West End for about 5 years (moving away from London and having children making it not so easy). I am so glad I did. Lee was great and I love him as Joseph. Fiona Reyes was the narrator and amazing. Everyone was so talented and put so much energy into the show that it was so fresh - it felt like it could have been an opening night. It made for a fantastic show. I'm still singing all the songs even though its a week since I was there! Thank you so much to everyone involved for making such an enjoyable evening and reigniting my love of the theatre. The only question now is when are my babysitters available again!
Emma, Cambs

I went to Joseph on the night of Nov 5, my friend had come to visit me all the way from the Netherlands to see Lee. I have to admit, he was absolutely amazing! He has such a good voice, I was really impressed. Although, the person who got me the most, was the narrator, that night played by the understudy Fiona Reyes. She had such an amazing voice, so lovely and I loved the way she interacted with the children. She really touched me with her soothing, yet strong voice! I am impressed and can't wait to hear more from her. The show was overall really good, I had a great time, clapping along, tears, laughter, it was all included. But I have to say: Fiona! She blew me away!

I went to see Joseph last night (Monday 5th November), Lee Mead was brilliant - he has a lovely voice, very sexy and everytime he sang he almost got a standing ovation after each song!!! The Musical is very "Lloyd Webber" - with his zany sense of humour stamped all over it!! The cast are naturals and the children in the choir are excellent - well done to them too. At the end everyone stood up and applauded - something we had all been itching to do right from the start. You felt that he really enjoyed it and even now was absolutely thrilled to be on there playing the part. Well done Lee!! I was sitting in row F in the middle - (6th Row in the middle) lots of leg room and brilliant seats. Really looking forward to getting his new album "Fascination" for Christmas.
If you haven't seen this - you must!!! Lee Mead is a SuperStar!!!!!! Fantastic!!!

my brother, mum and i went to see Joseph on 5th November 2007- we had all seen Lee in Any Dream Will Do and thought that his performances every week. when we saw him with the rest of the cast that just topped it all. we really enjoyed our night out and even my brothers fear of fireworks was not enough to prevent him enjoying the show.
we would like to thank the whole cast and crew, plus all of the theatre staff for making it a night to remember.
Fiona, Essex

I went to see joseph on monday nov 5th. This was my third time seeing joseph and both times previously i have been lucky enough to see lee perform and was hoping that this performance would be the same as i was slightly worried that he may not be able to perform as i heard he had an injury recently. But sure enough he was carrying on with a bandaged ankle and was still absolutley brilliant as usual, he gave the show such a wonderful energy throughout with his amazing voice as did all the other cast members making it exciting and funny throughout and all of them deserved the standing ovation they received at the end of the show. Well done to everyone for putting on such a great show and i cant wait to go and see it again.
Jess, Kent

Lee we love u xx

I just wanted to give some feedback on Joseph. I went to see it on 18th July and 1st October and thought both performances were amazing. I absolutely loved every minute of both of them. Lee especially was superb. An incredible voice, a fantastic actor with loads of charisma and stage presence. He held the audience throughout. Preeya was also brilliant - I thought she had an incredible voice and was perfect for the role. The production was full of energy and fun and very light hearted too. I'm taking my parents to see it on 6th February and am already looking forward to it!
It was 100 times better than Grease which I went to see last night. There was no comparison at all.
Congratulations to everyone!
Davina

I managed to get tickets to see Joseph last Wednesday 31st October, having been lucky enough to see it originally back in July. From the start I couldn't fault the experience. To begin with, the guy on the phone at See Tickets was a star in his own right. He spent ages trying to get me the best tickets on a day that I could make it and couldn't have been more helpful.
When we arrived at the theatre there was a slight disappointment when we discovered that Lee wasn't performing due to an injury. My 7 year old son, who has become a Lee disciple since Any Dream Will Do, was mortified. I was a little apprehensive when we were offered the chance to change our tickets for a later date if we wanted to. No Lee, but also no Preeya playing the part of the narrator. But we had travelled 300 miles from West Wales and there was no chance of being able to return to London in the near future.
Boy, am I glad we stayed. Although Lewis apperaed a little nervous at times, he gave a fantastic performance. It must have been so difficult for him knowing that the vast majority of the audience had come to see Lee performing. And Fiona in the part of the narrator was brilliant.
It is easy to concentrate on these two main characters, but in reality the whole company are so outstanding it was never going to be anything other than brilliant. The Brothers were so entertaining and Pharaoh was the star of the second half of the show.
If I lived any closer I would come and see this fantastic piece of family entertainment at least once a month. As it is, I have just managed to get tickets to come back in January. And I don't mind if Lee or Lewis will be playing the part of Joseph (although I do have to confess that Lee does look slightly better in a loin cloth!).
Congratulations to the whole cast and production team - we couldn't have had a better trip to London.
Jenny, Pembrokeshire

we saw Joseph yesterday the 31st october (matinee) , unfortuatly Lee wasn't able to preform because of an injury so Lewis had the part of Joseph. it didn't spoil our enjoyment at all. All three children has a fantastic time they clapped and cheared after each song. Lewis could do with a bit more body weight and he looked better with out the wig but he was excellent. The children enjoyed it so much they have asked to go again!
Angela

i went to see joseph on the 30th of october with my parents! i was so excited and couldn't sit still when we got into the theatre and took our seats. when the lights dimmed and the show started i was still as i statue! - i was gob smacked- the narrator was fantastic. then lee came on stage and every one went mad, there were people screaming his name, and ..well, just generally screaming. anyway, the show was fantastic and i was so excited when the finalle started. i was in the upper circle with my parents and we were in the third row from the front and we were eye level with lee when he was lifted up on the little podium thing! to my embarrassment my mum(being a huge fan of lee's, i am too) started going mad, screaming and blowing him kisses, but i had completely forgot about that because of his singing! he is amazing!!!
charlotte, 13, wales

I just wanted to write in to say what an amazing performance the whole cast put together on Saturday 27th October. It really was brilliant and the whole family (age range of 12 – 61!) loved it; a memorable evening. Quite where Preeya finds those notes I do not know but her voice is something to behold and she certainly knows how to light up a stage.
Thanks to the whole cast and especially Lee and Preeya who were fabulous.
Charlie

Wow, wow, wow awesome performance, thank you so much to all the case but especially to Lee Mead I saw the show on 25th October after a very long 5 month wait but wow was it worth it. Lee was fantastic I just could not keep my eyes off him what a performer the singing, dancing and acting were spectacular. I have been a Joseph fan for many years and Lee is by far the best what else can I say but can't wait to see the show over and over again - I'm definately not going to wait so long again and in fact have tickets for 5th December only 6 weeks to go. I was so excited to see Lee after the show and get his authgraph and photo - what a star - I hope he never stops doing this for his fans - it is most appreciated.
Alison, Nottingham

I went to see Joseph on 25th October. After following 'any dream will do' on the BBC religiously I was so ecited to see Lee in Joseph.I knew Lee's voice was very good but the television really doesn't do his voice justice. His voice is absoloutly incredible. Words cannot describe how fantastic I thought he was. In close every door i was actually crying. It was honsetly the best show i've seen. At the end I was out of my seat jumping up and down clapping. All the other cast members were terrific including Preeya who was phenomenal. My Mom had seen Jason Donavon in Joseph and I asked her who she thought was better and she said Lee had a stronger voice and was a better Joseph and the whole production she said was even better than before. We had a truly amazing night out that words cannot describe it. Thank you to everyone in the production who has worked so hard to produce such an amazing show! Lee is a shining star!
Lauren aged 14, Birmingham

I saw Joseph on Saturday evening 20th October 2007 and it was absolutely amazing. Lee is perfect for the role, we had fab seats in the stalls 7 rows from the front and we had a great view of Lee especially when he is in his loin cloth. Pharoah is also fab too. Favourite part was the end and the megamix and we were on our feet dancing, singing and clapping our way through - hope Lee spotted the three mad ladies!! Really want to see Joseph again now and have had withdrawal symptoms all week and keep bursting into song.
Claire - Swadlincote, Derbyshire

I went to see Joseph at the Adelphi theatre in London on the 20th October. I have seen Joseph a number of times before, but I can honestly say this was the best version I have ever seen! I really don't think anything will match it. Lee is the perfect Joseph ... full of emotion, and clearly loving every second of it. He had a 20 minute standing ovation when I was there. The addition of "King of my heart" was great! The entire cast was great and put on a brilliant show. I only hope they bring out the show on DVD so I can watch it over and over again!!!!
Laura, Derby

i saw joseph on saturday 20th october at 7.30 all i can say is WOW!!!!!!fantastic an amazing show i went not really knowing what to expect but my daughter who fell in love with lee during any dream will do wanted to go for her 8th birthday. it was well worth the wait and i would love to go again. just hope i can get in again before june as ive been told its finishing then. just upset for my daughter that she didnt manage to get lee to sign her programme but what a brill night well done to all

Wednesday 17th October
First saw it on the 23rd of July and was enchanted by it then and have been on cloud nine ever since .
At last the long awaiting return we promised ourselves, what a treat that was yet again, it was magical perfect the cast reacting even more to the crowd, and Lee .... What can one say wonderful Lee so sensitive to his role ,from the moment he appears in a blue haze to the end. Breathtaking. It was so nice to see old friends again, Dean , Preeya, the Brothers all oh so perfect.(a special thanks to Nathaniel 'Naphtali' for signing the program on the tube on the way back).
It is a show highly recommended, so entertaining for young and old full of emotions from the comic to the really sensitive . And at the end, the crowning of a fantastic evening with seeing dear Lee signing the youngsters programs with such patience. Bravo Lee and cast. A well deserved ovation.
Got to confess the I shall return , have become an addict.
Brilliant, brilliant brilliant

Saturday October 13th - matinee
I originally saw the show on Press Night and thought it was fantastic then but the cast and crew surpassed themselves this time. The sound balance was much improved and with a better view from the dress circle I was able to see Lee Mead's expressive face as he lived every moment of Joseph's story and sang his heart out.The brothers are outstanding - such wonderful harmony in Canaan Days with brilliant acting. But it is Lee Mead who is the heart and soul of this production - I could see the show every night. Have booked twice more already!

Saturday October 13th - matinee
This was my second visit to this delightful show.
Lee Mead's performance has matured and he is now a confident leader of the company with an assured comedy touch and good dance moves.
I did not think it possible for his voice to improve but it has. His voice is rich and melodic and he does not hold back at all when going for the high notes. He is a joy to listen to.
I was also very impressed with rest of the cast particularly the singing and dancing of the brothers and wives.
The whole cast seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves while at the same time staying true to their characters.
It is such a shame that we are not going to get a recording of this fabulous company.
Ingrid W, West Midlands

Thursday 11 October and Saturday 13 October.
I came to England to see this fantastic singer/actor named Lee but what I got was so much more. Lee was fantastic but I think the cast is superb.
In Holland Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is not known so I had no idea what to expect. Most of the songs I knew from “Any dream will do” so it was not a complete mystery but nothing could prepare me for all that energy and joy on stage. It overwhelmed me. I fell in love with the show.
It was a great night out which was over far too soon. I tried to get some tickets for the next Saturday and see the show again and I did. This time it was even better because I could relax more and take more in. Even the giggling, slightly drunken, Italian guys next to me couldn‘t distract me. There was so much going on on stage, which I missed the first time. There were also some funny moments between Joseph and the pharaoh and some reference by the brothers during the mega mix to the England win in rugby.
Now I am back home and think of the show a lot. I am already saving up for an other mini break to London next year.
Anne van der Well, Vlaardingen, The Netherlands

Wednesday 10th October
Usually a 12 year old and a 4.00a.m start don’t go together happily but when the aforesaid 12 year old is going to see Lee Mead in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” they go perfectly well with one another!
All the way to the airport and over the Irish Sea I worried; what if Lee was sick, or had just decided to take the day off? Once we arrived in Stansted I didn’t feel much better. The worries continued all the way to Liverpool Street Station, then to Holborn and finally to Covent Garden. What if we had come all the way from Ireland for nothing? The nerves reached a climax at about two o’clock (an hour before our matinee) and we finally made our way to the Adelphi. Once inside, I directed my attention to the cast list. Under “Joseph” it said Lee Mead. I was semi-relieved but I would not be fully happy until I actually saw him. We bought our Joseph merchandise and then made our way up to our seats.
I was very fidgety for what I thought was the hours before the show started. I busied myself by buying a handy pair of binoculars for 50p. Finally the choir made its way onto the stage followed shortly by Fiona Reyes (the narrator). “Way, way back many centuries ago, not long after the Bible began…”I held my breath. Suddenly, there he was. Three months I had waited for this moment and it had arrived at last. Lee Mead was descending from goodness knows where, and can you guess what I did next? Well, I started to cry. Yep, I cried. Lee was still singing “Any Dream Will Do”, oblivious to the tears rolling down the cheeks of the 12 year old way up in row O. I didn’t cry when it came to scene 9 and Lee was singing “Close Every Door”. I had read all about other people crying during this song but I couldn’t. Not even one single tear! Oh well…My tears had come during “Any Dream Will Do”.
The show was “Amazing”! (Excuse the bad pun!) And everything went according to plan except for when Judah’s wig came off! (I saw that through my very handy binoculars!) I absolutely loved the camel, the snakes, Pharaoh and, of course, LEE!!!!! The Joseph Megamix was phenomenal and after the show I got a spot at the front to see Lee! Well actually I had to earn that place. Women kept going in front of me so I “accidentally” had to push them out of the way twice before Lee came out and SIGNED MY PROGRAMME!!!!!!!!!! I was the single happiest girl in the world as I looked at Lee’s autograph. Does life get much better than this? I suppose the P.L.D. (Post Lee Depression) will kick in once I’ve finished this review. I must “feel no sorrow and do not grieve for he would not want me to”! GO, GO, GO JOSEPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to see joseph since the Tv show mainly due to the gorgeous and amazingly talented Lee Mead. My husband surprised me with tickets on my 30th birthday it was the best present in the world, I saw the show on Monday... its now Friday and im still on a high from the show it was brilliant in every way so professional and Lee was made for the part i've completely fallen in love!!!!! What a fantastic Essex boy:)
My husband and i have booked tickets to see him again on Saturday 7th June 2008 ( his last show) im so looking forward to it, i cant wait, i would recommend it to everyone. After this im looking forward to the next lead role he plays he is truly mesmorising. Well Done Lee x

Well it was a long wait, but I finally got my chance to see Joseph last week, and I was totally and utterly blown away. The anticipation I’d been feeling since booking my tickets after Lee won Any Dream Will Do was almost unbearable, but the show was definitely worth the wait! It was vibrant, colourful, fun, exciting, heartbreaking and truly mesmerising. Lee fulfilled every one of my expectations (and lots more besides – hubba, hubba!), and seeing that beautiful smile on his face from beginning to end was an absolute joy. The rest of the cast were excellent too, especially the brothers, whose voices, stage presence and comic timing were so entertaining. Preeya was also wonderful, and my other half was very taken with her (made me feel a bit less guilty about swooning over Lee!). All in all, this is a FABULOUS show and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone … I stayed in London for four days after seeing the show, and everywhere I went people were raving about Joseph – 10/10!!

Thank you very much for the excellent show I've been able to see in the Adelphi Theatre on West End on October 3rd, 2007. I had never seen a musical on West End before, but I've especially come to London (I live in Holland) to see the musical.. It was AMAZING!! Don't think I'll ever see a musical in Holland like this.. It was very special, and my birthday gift as well! Lee, I already booked my tickets when I already knew you would win, although the end of Any Dream Will Do was yet to come.. I'm so glad I was right! You really were my favourite Joseph, and I'm sure you're the best man for the job. Love ya! Anyways: thanks to you and to all your colleagues, and I hope to see you again in the future! Good luck with the show.

Wednesday 3rd October
I have wanted to see Joseph since I was a kid and having supported the fabulous Lee Mead all the way through ADWD, my 3 month wait to see him in the show finally became a reality.......and it was so worth the wait! WOW!
The whole show and entire cast were absolutely amazing, all putting in 110% and really enjoying themselves. Dean Collinson was amazing as the Pharoah. I'm glad they've given him an extra song as its a shame he's not on the stage for longer. All the brothers were fantastic and very funny. The sets, costumes and the children were also brilliant!
But Lee.....well there is only 1 way to describe him..... absolutely phenomenal! Woah that man can sing! From the first cheers as he descended to sing Any Dream Will Do.....to the spine tingling Close Every Door....right through to the Joseph Megamix, he put on a flawless and very funny performance. Lee's stage presence and his "I can't believe everyone is cheering for me" smile means that whenever he is on stage you can't take your eyes off him, especially in that short, short loincloth!
Unfortunately we had a long drive home so didnt manage to stay to see him after the show........though there is always NEXT TIME......I for 1 will be fighting to get tickets to see it again, as well as whatever show is next in what is going to be a long and successful career for this amazing actor. Go Go Go Joseph!!

Wednesday 3rd October -Matinee
My mum and I travelled by train from South Wales to see the show as my 10th birthday treat.
The theatre was packed at 2.30pm and we jostled our way to the Upper Circle seats.
At first I thought we wouldn't see the performers as we were so high up but when the show started and Lee made his entrance through what looked like a cloud filled stage the whole place erupted... everyone was clapping and cheering.
Everyone in the cast was excellent and I especailly liked Dean Collinson as the 'Elvis' Pharoah.
We laughed with the antics of the Brothers, clapped along to the wonderful songs and had a fab time.
We had performed Joseph in our end of year play at school so I could sing along (quietly) to the songs and dance in my seat!!
I can't think of enough words to describe the whole experience... awesome, fantastic, superb (my Mum is helping here!!).
Thankyou thankyou for helping to make my birthday a little more special... I LOVED THE SHOW and wished I lived closer so I could see it every week.

Saturday 29th September - Matinee
I travelled to london with my mum by coach for the Matinee performance of Joseph after waiting for three months Joseph was a surprise from my family for my Birthday my time was finally here. Wow what can I say what a super fab magical wonderful and awe inspiring performance by Lee, Who I loved from the first episode of Any Dream will do Dean Collinson as Pharoah and the whole cast. And afterwards to actually receive a signed photo from Lee hiself was a out of this world experience to everyone who is going to see it you will have a wicked time really worth seeing again. Thanks to Lee and everyone involved.

This was a long awaited event for myself & bestfriend, she WAS a Joseph virgin & i have been too many times before, although have not been since 1995!! I have always maintained that Phillip Schofield is the greatest Joseph of all time & even though i voted fro Lee every week i was worried that the show was not going to be as great as i remembered!!! espically as it holds very dear to my heart, espically 'one more angel in heaven'!! BOY OH BOY was i WRONG!!!!!! It was everything i remembered it to be & more!!! Lee was amazing,(now my fav Joseph, sorry Phillip!!!) the brothers were, well great & too funny to even begin to describe & the children!!!! i love the children, they do a truely fantastic job!!! We went with two other friends & it was truly a great night out, if you have never seen Joseph before i strongly suggest you go, if you have been before, GO AGAIN!!!! i am, i'm taking my 6yr old daughter in Nov & she can not wait!! you will be signing along (i cant sign so i gave it my best shot!!!!) your heiny wont keep still in your seat!!!!!
Again A FANTASTIC JOB TO ALL THE CAST, WELL DONE & THANK YOU FOR A GREAT NIGHT xx
Heather, Bicester, Oxfordshire

I was on a coach trip from West Wales to see the show on the evening of Saturday 22 September. I knew the story of Joseph and his brothers but didn't know what to expect from the musical. What a surprise!!!! It was absolutely BRILLIANT. What more can be added to the other reviews? When Lee made his entrance the theatre exploded with whistling, cheering and clapping - the television public made an excellent choice for Joseph (and I was one of them and that is the reason I booked to see the show!). Many of those who auditioned for Joseph were very good but from the start Lee seemed to have just that little something extra. I must say in all honesty that each and every one of the members of the cast played their part in making it a fantastic evening - they seemed so enthusiastic with their dancing and singing - all of them were putting 110% into the show to make sure the audience enjoyed themselves (which we all did). The costumes and the scenery were stunning (and on times hilarious) and the finale - WOW. I cannot stop talking about the show and every time I log on to my computer I go to the web site and play the "clips" again. Congratulations to everyone, either connected with or in the show, for an evening that I will remember for a very long time.

Monday 24th September
Wow What can i say the show was fantastic! Lee's performace along with the rest of the cast was brilliant. Although i was feeling pretty bad with a head cold/no voice the show lifted my spirits and i forget all about being unwell! We definately chose the right man for the job! I have been recormending the show to all my friends and family. Go and see it if you have the chance.Well done Lee!

Saturday 22nd September
My mum and I saw Joseph yesterday and we both knew the musical so well and had seen it previously. In fact, as a teacher, I had directed a childrens performance of it! However, we were amazed by the new production, loved the new inclusions and were convinced that every vote we had placed for Lee Mead was worth every penny. It was such a pleasure to see him visibly enjoy every minute of the performance and the narrator was a revelation also.In spite of the cramped seats at the Aldephi and Mum being incredibly uncomfortable , due to chronic arthiritis - it was worth every moment and we wouldnt have missed it for the world.
Thankyou.

Saturday 22nd September 2007 - Matinee
Visited London with my family to celebrate my brothers 40th Birthday and felt very selfish for overruling them all and insisting that we watched Joseph whilst we were there. Have watched many West End shows, including Joseph before but have never experienced such an awe inspiring fun loving performance as this. We havent stopped talking about it since we got home! Lee Meads performance was first class - the voice, the loin cloth and finally that smile will stay with me for a very long time. I knew from the minute I started watching the BBC show that he was the one! A big thanks to all the cast, crew, theatre staff and especially Lee for making my Brothers birthday one to remember. I cant wait to see the show again!
Best wishes Emma xx

Friday 21st September 2007
Lee Mead believed he could give the public and the show the Joseph they knew and loved but with a new, fresh, individual stamp and boy was he right. His presence is awesome, his smile, well what can I say, he plays every part of Joseph as the true professional he surely is. (Well, that is why we voted for him). Would I watch the show a second time, definitely. This production is fantastic in every sense, the cast, the orchestra, the children, the props. You become a part of the show and never want it to end. Fantastic and well done to all.

Wednesday 19th September
Congratulations to all of the cast and crew of "Joseph". The show was as lively, colourful and exciting as I expected and probably more so!The Brothers were fabulous....so full of energy and comedy! The Narrator was outstanding. Her voice was beautiful. And Joseph.....the public made the right choice......Lee Mead was amazing!!!!! He commanded the stage and his voice and character never faltered.Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable evening!
Kim, Northampton

I went to see Joseph on Wednesday 19th September with my school and i thought it was AMAZING. Lee Mead made an excelent Joseph and Preeya Kalidas the narrator was really amazing and had an excelent singing voice. The orchestra were really good. I will DEFINATELY be coming back with my family to see it again. It was well worth the money.

Wow! A much anticipated visit to London to see 'Joseph' more than lived up to expectations. Verve, vivacity, vitality, versatility, visual effects are all words needed to describe not only Lee's performance but that of the whole cast. What a night's entertainment we had! And then for Lee to sign our programmes after the performance certainly 'took the biscuit'.

Monday 17th September
I was hoping from the first audition on the first show that Lee would get the role of Joseph, and after witnessing his performance during last night show, i was not let down 1 bit............ WOW!!!!
From his very first sung word, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Every member of the cast must be congratulated for their part in a wonderful musical, along with the costume and scenery depts who also played their part.
My husband who is a big Elvis fan thought Dean Collinson as Pharoah was "Nothing short of magnificent" (which was handy as it kept him occupied while i admired Lee in his loin cloth!!!!!!!!).
My highlight of the evening of course was Lee taking time out at the end to sign my programme and ticket along with the signed photo he handed out to the many fans waiting just to catch a glimpse..............
Go Go Go Lee, we will definately be seeing you again very soon.
Shellie & Jason. Norwich.

I saw Joseph on Wednesday 12th September 2007 and Lee was absolutely fantastic, even though I wanted Lewis to win I must admit I now agree that Lee is a great singer and actor to play the role of Joseph and my mum and I are going to see him again as we love the musical.

Monday 10th September
I thought the entire show was sensational - even better than I expected. Fiona Reyes was the Narrator - and she was extremely good - a worthy substitute. The brothers were wonderful, energetic, and enthusiastic - as were the children's choir. Fast moving, fun-filled - everything a West End show should be!
And in true tradtiion, I've left the best till last - amazing Lee Mead - he so proved he was the correct selection by all of us Saturday night viewers. If ever a guy was made for a role, the lovely Lee was! What a performance - funny yet moving, superb voice and stage prescence - and the "lift" up into the Gods/cheap seats to wave to us all! What a smashing bloke! And still coming out after the show for photo opportunities, autographs and chat two months after opening! Please don't let success spoil this truely likeable young man with the human touch. Shall follow his career with interest - I'd watch him in anything! next project?
PS to ALW - if you'd like me to pick your next lead, just let me know!

Saturday 8th September matinee
What a show! From start to finish I was completely enthralled by the whole experience - the music, the dancing, the costumes, the acting, everything was absolutely spot on. I couldn't stop smiling from the moment the children came on to the stage until the the moment the final curtain came down.
Preeya as the Narrator was wonderful and drove the whole thing along splendidly. Stephen Tate was hilarious as Potiphar and Dean Collinson shone as Pharoah. And the brothers, well what can I say? Brilliant is the only word I can use to describe them.
And Lee? Absolutely perfect.
This is a spell-binding show, a must-see. I already have more tickets booked for next year and am counting down the days!
Steph

As a child, my family always took my sister and I to see Joseph. So we watched 'Any dream will do' and followed it every week. And the best man won.
So then going to see the London show of Joseph, was a big deal. It had a lot to live up to. But out of every Joseph we have ever seen, this production, by far, was the best. And of course Lee Mead was just breath taking. There is such an overwhelming feeling that radiates from him. The only way to explain it, is like seeing your children Christmas morning. Full of excitement, so happy that this day has come and just enjoying every moment.
And his voice is simply amazing too. You really feel part of the show because the whole cast seem to be having such a great time.
Would recommend this show to anyone, young and old!

Friday 7th September
My birthday present was tickets to the performance on the 7th. What a show the entire cast were brilliant! Dean you were a really good pharoah absolutely loved you although I didn't recognise you without the makeup as you walked past me by the stage door so I didn't get a chance to tell you! I liked the additional song and I'd like to know where I can get hold of it.
As for Lee well what can I say, you deserved the cheers and whooping you got when you came out on stage. Definitely picked the right Joseph, you held the audience, we got that gorgeous smile every now and then and the voice, well what can I say. Really felt the emotion in Close Every Door and that second rendition of Any Dream will do to Jacob well again so emotional. Never seen Joseph before but so glad I went this time. My daughters and I are desperate to go back again.
Perfect, what a fantastic evening!!!!!!!!!!

Friday 7th September
Worth every penny! and that includes train fares and a meal out, not just the tickets to see the show, that's our verdict. We sat in Row C of the Royal Circle, and soon forgot the limited leg room when the music started and on came the marvellous Lee Mead. He was a wonderful Joseph, and it was a delight to see him performing his dream role, you could tell he was enjoying every minute. Everybody did an excellent job, including the brothers, Jacob, the narrator and of course the children! It was utterly magic. A week later we are still singing the songs.
We have now also booked up for May, because we'd love to see Lewis Bradley as Joseph as well. Our vision of the future is that he is going to be a superb Joseph too.

What a FANTASTIC show!!
Lee was brilliant in the role of Joseph, and I had a wonderful time, (an excellent way of celebrating my much dreaded 40th birthday!!!!!).
My husband and two children booked the tickets for me as a surprise, and I was not disappointed.
The whole show was spectacular, and the entire cast were true professionals.

Friday 7th September
Having seen Joseph twice before (once in London and once at Milton Keynes Theatre), I knew I was in for a great night, but I enjoyed the new version even more.  Lee Mead is the perfect Joseph!  With his incredible voice and stage presence he held the audience in the palm of his hand.  He almost moved me to tears during 'Close Every Door' and I had goosebumps.  Preeya Kalidas was the best Joseph Narrator I've ever seen (what a voice for such a tiny person!).  The only criticism I have about the show is the inclusion of the new song 'King of My Heart'.  Was it really necessarily to add this?  Having said that, I thought Dean Collinson played the part of Pharoah brilliantly and he was hilariously funny!
T he cherry on the icing on the cake was seeing Lee after the show and having him sign my ticket which I am going to frame, along with the signed photo I was also given.  He is even hotter in the flesh than he was on TV!
If you haven't been to see Joseph yet, all I can say is 'Go Go Go Go!'.

Wednesday 5th September - matinee
The day was a special treat from my heavily pregnant sister and I to our mother who turns 75 tomorrow (13th). We had travelled all the way from Devon, excitedly looking forward to seeing the show. Well what can I say that hasn’t already been said before by everyone else. We were Lee fans before we arrived, but his performance was absolutely out of this world. His smile could melt a thousand hearts. It is clearly obvious too that the entire cast are exceptional performers. The show was pure joy to watch, never laughed so much in our lives. The performances were professional and polished, with not a note out of place. I have to see this again soon! Even my sister’s unborn child was doing loop the loops throughout the show…clearly a fan already…..having been very quiet all the way up to London on the train and back to Devon. Thank you everyone for giving us a fantastic day out and a real treat for our MumJ

I took my 5 year old daughter to see the show, as she adores Lee Mead and we wasn't dissappointed.  The show was absolutely amazing.  All of the cast were fantastic and I hope that we can get tickets to go again. We came out of the theatre wanting more. Superb!

WHAT A DREAM COME TRUE!
My husband bought the tickets for us to see Joseph for my birthday and I was so excited! After following the TV show religiously every week and being such a BIG Lee fan I couldn't wait and was bursting with excitement. We went to London for the weekend and the show was to be the finale - and it was indeed! The whole evening was magical and we both enjoyed every bit of it. Lee was amazing and certainly delivered the goods. As he appeared on stage the whole theatre went crazy, cheering and clapping and I found it very emotional. His voice is out of this world and it made me cry. He is super talented and really is amazing to watch perform.
In fact the whole cast were fantastic and I cannot wait to go back and see it again! The narrator (Fiona Reyes) was fantastic and has such a beautiful voice too. My favourite parts were Lee's entrance onto the stage and the 'Close every door' set. The children in the choir were wonderful too and really made the production complete. My husband enjoyed the 'Elvis' style set the most and even though does not normally enjoy musicals or the theatre enjoyed the whole production. We have both been singing/humming the songs ever since and we can't get them out of our heads. It truely was an amazing show and I will be returning soon for more of the magic!

I COULD HAVE DANCED ALL NIGHT
To quote from another brilliant musical, I literally could have danced all night after seeing Joseph on 4th September. I could have sung the night away as well! If there are any prices for making people happy, it should go to this amazing show and to every one of those involved. To those who dismiss the show as a piece of fluff or a cheesy show, I say “Get over yourself”. The main purpose of a theatre production must be to engage the audience, either by making one think and ponder, feel and bond, laugh and cry. A production which does all this, and how!!, deserves all the praise it gets. Any show that gets you on your feet, singing and clapping, that releases a 20 year old soul trapped in a middle aged body like mine, is certainly up there with the best.
When the show started, we were all going into not only the Joseph zone, but also THE LEE ZONE. There was all the trappings,- the multicoloured coat, the loincloth, the glittering cast and costumes, all through which Lee’s talent and presence shone so brilliantly. His beautiful, strong, true and clear voice enveloped us all, like a caress. Oh boy, can he sing!
I will not leave out the rest of the cast,- the lovely children with their shining, lovely faces, The Narrator who this night was Fiona Reyes,- the brothers, who can outsing and outdance anyone,-Dean Collinson who’s Song of the King was a stroke of genius.
For someone who had never seen the show before, it was quiet a revelation. The fast pace and the changing of musical genre really worked. It kept you on your toes and had you wondering what was coming next. To me the Potiphar setting with Art Deco touches was one of the best.
As I said at the beginning, the show made me both laugh and cry. The latter happened when Joseph and his father was reunited. Joseph was holding his father and singing softly, so softly “Any Dream Will Do” and suddenly the lyrics made perfect sense to me. A lump in my throat became tears in my eyes, and quiet unashamedly I let them fall. It was a beautiful and poignant scene.
With the rest of the audience I was on my feet, singing and clapping at the end, and I’m sure everybody felt like me:” I wish it could go on forever”. But that is part of the magic,- that it comes to an end.
I cannot close this without saying that Lee fulfilled all the hopes I had for him. His voice is so strong and beautiful, and obviously getting better and better. His looks certainly get no complaints from me, and that mega smile is still breaking hearts every day.
Being one of the lucky ones having a photograph signed by Lee afterwards, I felt on such a high. One of my best theatre experiences ever. I am so glad I am coming back to see it again..

Saturday 1st September
AMAZING GO GO GO LEE!!!!!!! After 3 months of being on the edge of my seat and signing up for my ticket on the day of the final Any Dream will do and praying and calling at least 10 times.. I was treated to a TECHNICOLOR performance by the seriously georgous and talented Lee Mead and he Narrator who this night was played by the energetic Fiona Reyes who stepped into the Narrator role and outshone the stunning Preeya Kalidas.
A MUST GO GO GO SHOW with FABULOUS numbers notably the energetic Go Go Go Joseph sung by the cast, the dramatically pathos stricken Close Every Door which could not fail to strike a chord with every part of the audience and the AWESOME Dean Collinson as Pharoah who almost ran away with the show in a BLAST scene with 25ft Sphinx with Rolling Eyes adored by a cast of adoring Horus and Anubis rock n rollers!
A FABULOUS show for young and old Joseph can expect to have a long run of many returning fans - long may it colour the west end scene in Red and Yellow and Pink and Green... etc. THANX to everyone who made this a WONDERFUL show!

Saturday 1st September
I was so lucky to get a ticket for the musical, ever since I saw Lee Mead in Any Dream Will Do I told everyone that I was going to see the musical should Lee win.
I have never seen a super musical like that... it's funny, it's got drama, it's funny (already said that haha), the songs are great and all the actors/singers are great and incredibly talented. Dean Collinson as the Pharoah was brilliant.
It was impossible to sit still on your seat for two hours.
It's amazing how Lee's performance can light up the entire theatre. He's so funny, has a great comedic and dramatic timing, and I really don't have a favourite scene, as they all are my favourite!

Saturday 1st September
I saw a saturday performance of Joseph.
Well,what can I say?
Having seen many shows, west end and tours, I must say this was one of the best.
Apart from a 10 minute break due to stage problems, the cast picked themselves up and produced a magnificent show. The props and sets were out of this world and the music was outstanding.
Lee Mead was incredible and held the show together and as for Preeya Kalidas (Narrator) she was one of the best female singers I've seen in a long time and she held the show together perfectly.
The brothers were hilarious and came and danced with me and my sister at the end. The vocals were truly spectacular and the singing choir were very good. I have already told everyone I know to come and see it and am booking tickets for May 2008 to come and see Lewis Bradley as Joseph to see how they compare as actors.
I have always wanted to be in the West End having already done dancing at her Majesties theatre, and this has shown me what the outcome is of being an actor. It has truly inspired me to chase my dreams. After all we all dream alot. Some are lucky, some are not.
My final comment is keep up the good work Andrew & crew.
Hope to be working with you one day (:

Wow, wow, wow, wow and wow again. This show is absolutely amazing! I went to see it just 2 days ago (Saturday 1st September) and when i got to the Adelphi, i found that my tickets were for row H in the stalls, which means that i was only 8 rows back from the stage (approximately 24 feet away!) and i was sat in awe for the whole performance (with a stupid grin on my face at the same time).
Lee Mead was phenomenal, he was always my favourite when Any Dream Will Do was on TV and I thought he would make a brilliant Joseph from the very first show we saw him on, but to see him on stage was a completely different experience. He's got such stage presence that when he is on the stage you automatically find yourself watching what he is doing even when he is not the main person in that scene. His singing was outstanding, his acting fantastic, and his dancing was brilliant too. The audience went absolutely mental when he first came on stage and they continued to do so every time one of the songs finished. It was obvious to everyone that Lee was born to be on the West End stage and I for one am glad that we picked him as our Joseph because he delivered an outstanding performance and from what I can gathered from reviews, has being doing so since his first performance and will i'm sure continue to do until his last performance. Also - he looks good in a loincloth
Fiona Reyes - the Narrator - was brilliant as well and has a lovely singing voice. It does make me wonder what the other narrator sounded like as Fiona was the stand in for her and everybody loved her performance.
Dean Collinson was also amazing as the Pharoah and the audience were just loving everything that he was doing.
However, although these were the stand out performances for me, i want to say that the rest of the cast were fantastic too. The dancing especially was unbelievable and just came naturally to all the cast members especially the brothers and their wives (and Lee Mead of course).
The show itself, was lively, energetic, dramatic, colourful and for the most part absolutely hilarious, when i had a quick glance at the audience most of them were crying with laughter. The cast were obviously a tightly knit group of professionals that really know how to put on a bloody good show! If anybody gets the chance i would definitely recommend this show to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
My only downside? It was over way to quickly for my liking! To be honest, i'm contemplating booking up and going again.

Friday 31st August
Fantastic - booked for Hubby's B-DAY - This show is absolutely amazing, booked the ticket via the Adelphi, i found that my tickets were for the circle - which I had an amazing view.
The cast is excellent and Lee Mead was phenomenal, both my hubby and I had voted for him as Lee was out favourite when Any Dream Will Do was on TV. I new he would make a fantastic Joseph from the very first show we saw him on, but to see him on stage was a completely different experience.
Lee made the show feel special like it was his first show - he really gave 110% on stage and has such a presence you are engaged from the moment he arrives on stage till he leave watching with bated breath his ever move. Lee truly has a unique voice his singing is outstanding, his acting fantastic, not to mention his dancing and engagement with the children - wonderful to see.
I do have to mention the gym is working wonders Lee you looked amazing in that loincloth - the memory will remain with me forever - thank you.
Preeya Kalidas - the Narrator - was brilliant, very pretty and wore wonderful costumes, my hubby remarked that she has a wonderful voice. Dean Collinson was also amazing as the Pharaoh, Stephen Tate as Jacob and the rest of the case was truly fantastic to.
The show itself, is a masterpiece it was lively, energetic, dramatic, colourful fun and at times absolutely hilarious. It truly is a special show and well worth the money, both myself and hubby returned home from London, all our friends and work colleagues asked what it was like - My hubby a 6ft 4inch (Policeman & Rugby player) to comment how fantastic it was that must speak volumes, a lot of our friends & work colleagues have now also booked tickets to go and see the show soon.
Lee & cast - we will see you again shortly, Thank you all for making our trip to London such a wonderful and memorable one, I only wished I would have been able to get lee to sign my programme or photograph at the end.

Hi! I saw an evening performance of Joseph on 30th August.
Joseph was absolutely amazing. The cast were fabulous, and the atmosphere electric.
Lee Mead was PERFECT as Joseph. His voice, stage presence and, of course, his looks made him ideal. 'Close Every Door' gave me goosebumps and left everyone amazed. He is definately right as Joseph. Also, I must compliment Preeya (the narrator) on her fabulous performance, she has such a strong voice that went so well with Lee's and the rest of the cast.
Overall, the show was witty, funky and original; by the end everyone was clapping and singing along with the catchy songs. I will definately be going again.
Sarah, aged 14, London

What can I say? Where do I start?......I went with my husband to see the show on the 29th August matinee performance. I was worried that a matinee performance in the West End would not have the same impact as an evening one. How wrong was I!! I wanted to be objective about the show and Lee's performance but that lasted about 10 seconds. Both my husband and I got caught up in the amazing colour, energy and brillance of the show. All the cast were amazing, but Lee.....that boy is a true STAR, how it was not seen before I will never know. I have seen a lot of talent in West End shows before but Lee Mead far outshines them all and you can tell by his smile a mile wide that he is absolutely loving it. You could hear a pin drop during his redition of close every door just watching and remembering to breathe was a challenge for the audience. Much deserved standing ovations and a promise from my husband to see it again (Praise indeed from a person who doesn't like musical theatre ordinarily!!) Brilliant show, brilliant cast, Brilliant LEE MEAD. If you haven't got tickets for the show yet, what are you doing? why not? Do it now.... I mean now.... what are you waiting for....do it now.... Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Just seen Joseph in London. Have seen Lord of The Rings, Footloose, Phatom of the Opera, Wicked (Very Good) We will Rock You, Mamma Mia, Evita, Grease (Okay) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Dirty Dancing (My third Favourtie) Les Miserables (My Second Favourite) and Lee Mead in Joseph. Shear entertainment. Lucky to get tickets for January 2008. It is brilliant, funny, will have you laughing and dancing. It is a walking work of art. And it does take the Biscuit. Well done Lee, Well done the narrator, She was hot and brilliant I think her name was Praya or something like that, either way she was really good. Julie Maquire, did it in the Uk Tour years ago and Praya is up there with her because she was my favourtie until now. The way they used the children's choir (36 of them) 10 boys 26 girls) 10 out of 10. Best show ever!

Weds 22nd August - evening
What a fantastic show. A wonderful cast. Amazing costumes, there must also be some great people back stage as there are so many costume changes. The sets and props are great and some very funny, where did they find that camel?
I had been a little worried because my ticket indicated a restricted view dress circle and the end seat on the left hand side, but no problems I saw everything except half the children when they are on the raised walkway.
The music and lyrics are of so very familiar but still brilliant, not surprising as they come from two very talented guys.I'm still humming them all the time nearly a week after my visit.
Dean Collinson as the Pharoah was superb a great voice and those hip swivles!
Then of couse we come to the leading man Lee Mead! We the public weren't wrong in voting for him he did every thing he promised and a bit more.
He can act, he is so funny, especially in the scenes where he is being chased by the ladies. He ages as the show progresses from spoilt young man to arrogant prince. He can sing, such a pleasure to listen to every song sung with the right depth of emotion. He looks amazing in every costume he wears. The man can dance as well and he has an amazing head for heights. If you want to know what this refers to then go and see the show.
You,ll have a fabulous time, I'm going again soon cann't wait.

Myself and my twin sister were given the most awesome surprise on 22nd August by our mum. We went from our home in Dublin to see Joseph in the Adelphi. It was the evening performance on Wednesday 22nd August, and couldn’t believe it as we were only told as we boarded the plane!! I thought the children were fantastic and they were really enjoying themselves. The costumes were so colourful and cool and I loved Preeya’s voice- she was a great story teller. One of my favourite scenes was when the cast sung ‘Go go Joseph’. The dancing was deadly and the lighting was so funky. Also the scene with the camel and snake singing ‘poor poor Joseph’ was really funny! Dean Collinson was the best Pharaoh ever but as for Lee, I couldn’t believe I was actually watching him after following him every week on ‘Any dream will do’ and begging my mum to take us to see him if he won!!! I thought his singing was fantastic, same for his dancing and acting. The mega mix was so cool. I loved the way they all wore white and danced to all the songs again. All the cast must be so fit. Then Lee came out with his coat and danced around the stage. When he was lifted up in the air with all the colours was just amazing. I will never forget that, ever. But afterwards, when we went outside and actually got to meet him, I just couldn’t believe I was really seeing him in front of my eyes. People let all the little kids up to the front, so my sister and I were so close to him I was able to tug on his jacket and ask for his autograph. He asked my mum where we were from and she told him we came from Dublin especially to see him in Joseph. He was really nice. When I go back to school, and I have to write about my Summer holiday, I won’t be thinking of our holiday to France, I will be writing about my surprise to the west end to see Lee as Joseph!! Go go go Lee!!!!

Went to see Joseph on Wednesday 22nd August, a treat for my 16 year old daughter day before her GCSE results. WOW!! It is fantastic, wonderful, magical, inspiring, especially for my daughter who is going on to do performing arts and loves the theatre.
What can I say about the cast? They excelled beyond belief and as for the leading man? Well he is even more fantastic in the flesh!! So if you have already seen it go LEE MEADIATELY !!!

Weds 22nd August - Matinee
My daughter Nina and I went to see this show and loved every minute from start to finish. This was part of her 8th birthday present, so it was extra special for her, and I wanted this to be a day for her to always remember. The cast were just fantastic and my daughter expecially loved the children's performance. Then Lee arrived on stage. Like thousands of others, we voted for him each week from week 1. He was always our favourite. His performance was sheer magic!!! The tv show did not do him justice (even though at the time we loved it). To round off a wonderful day, we waited outside after the show, and Lee very kindly signed Nina's programme. Being a very proud mum, I told him that it was her birthday treat, and he very graciously, asked her if she enjoyed the show, and wished her happy birthday. Sheer magic!!! I have today booked again for next May, and this time I will be taking my sister, my daughter Nina (again) and my younger daughter who will then be 4. She also loves the show songs and proudly joins in during our car trips. We now desperately want to buy the new soundtrack with Lee (once it is available). I would highly recommend this to any theatre lover, and also advice you to experience this with your children, it is fantastic.
Thank you Lee for making this a fantastic day!!

This was my second visit to see Joseph as the performance of the entire cast was so impressive that it was a must see again. Technology has resulted in some very impressive stage sets but this cast succesfully creates such entertainment no dramatic special effects are necessary. The energy and enthusiasm of those on stage holds your attention throughout and I found that the second time around I saw more details that I had missed the first time, simply because there is so much to watch.
Lee has already grown into this role, portraying Joseph as a dreamer, then arrogant, passionate, powerful and finally forgiving. He injects such feeling into his renditions of Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door, in particular, that it sends shivers down your spine. Bill Kenwright was often commenting on how he could make songs his own, and Lee demonstates this wonderfully as Joseph.
Neal Wright as Judah captivated the audience with his fantastic energy and his comic timing while the brothers especially in Those Canaan Days owned the stage!.
Dean Collinson was made to play Pharoah, and made the new song King of My Heart sound like an old favourite even though I had only heard it once before. He walks very easily into Elvis's shoes.
Act One was over in flash and Act Two even faster, time flies when you are having fun. Huge cheers from the audience greeted the end of each scene and all, both on stage and off it wore big smiles for the whole two hours.
Lee's amazing voice was thrilling to listen to, causing the audience to fall into complete silence just so you could appreciate every note, although no one could resist bursting into cheers just before he reached the end of a final note. I saw so many people, from the very young to the very old all beaming as they left the theatre at the end and the atmosphere was so buoyant I couldnt resist waiting to see Lee at the front afterwards.
Lee was his usual lovely, polite and accomodating self, handing out photos and signing autographs. Even the crowd were generous letting the small children to the front so they could see Lee, such was the mood the show had created.
Well Done Lee, your public adore you and wish you every success now and in the future.
I'm off now to try and get more tickets! If you want a lasting and unforgettable memory, you should do the same.

I went to see Joseph on Tuesday the 21st of August and it was absolutely fantastic! Lee Mead was incredible and made the show a dream come true to watch, every second. He brought the character of Joseph to life and made the character his own. His voice was utter perfection and an absolute pleasure to listen to. He was every bit the Joseph I knew he could be if he won 'Any Dream Will Do' and I was over the moon to see him perform it after all, as I had voted for him with every confidence and knew he deserved to win.
The stage was well adapted for the story and had plenty of detail, from the Egyptian Sphinx to the revolving floor which enabled the actors and props to expand on the story and their performance.
The whole cast gave their all throughout the entire play. The singing and dancing was energetic and outstanding. The Pharaoh excelled his part and interacted with the audience naturally.
Humour was well and truly presented by Lee who entertained us all with his hilarious snake scene, his enjoyment of ice cream and interaction with talking camels. He had every single member of the audience well and truly captivated. He captured and reached all the necessary emotional heights that the character experiences, from loneliness to the joy of having his family back.
The end of the play was a great opportunity to pay homage to all the fantastic actors within the play, and of course one of the best stars the West End has ever seen. This production is simply unmissable and guaranteed to be enjoyed by all. It compelled me to see the lovely Lee play Joseph again as soon as possible!
Many thanks to Lee for not only a truly wonderful performance, but for taking the time to sign my poster and talk to me. I wish you all the best in all that you do because you truly deserve it, as you are a sincere, genuine, down to earth individual and not to mention a spectacular actor.

The family travelled to London to see Joseph on Monday 20th August. This was my children's first trip to London and was booked so that we could see Joseph and see something of London.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of Joseph. A simple but fun set works well for this show, the quality of the cast and the great music and lyrics diminished any need for fancy stageing. I have long been a Joseph fan and this show did not disappoint. My son last saw the show when he was two and sat totally enthralled then. He was totally entrahlled again, aged 12, at the Adelphi. My daughter just grinned the whole way through, as did her parents! A wonderfully talented, charming and engaging cast put together a show of tremondous energy and feeling. Preeya was tiny and great!, Dean was fab with great comic ability and timing. Having watched Lee previously on TV, we were delighted to see his Joseph - he did a great job. At the end when Joseph meets Jacob there was complete silence in the auditorium and it was a scene of great tenderness - well done. The finale was brilliant - not much more I can say about that! It is also amazing how the cast deliver this show for eight performances a week and still maintain the level of performance that they do for every new audience. We left the theatre on a real high and we all want to go see this show again. This was a great way to end a great visit to London. Will be booking my tickets for Joseph for next year!

I took my grown up daughter to see the show on Monday 20th August as a treat. A treat for both of us, as I was already due to go in October, but couldn't bear to wait that long.
The whole cast was excellent and Lee Mead is truly a "Walking work of art." His voice was melodic and strong. His stage presence mesmerising.
The gremlins were obviously at work and when Lee was raised aloft at the end of the show I was disappointed that the coat train did not materialise neither did the ticker tape. Lee was left looking very vulnerable on his small platform. However, being the trooper that he is, he just carried on giving us his megawatt smile and my daughter didn't even realise that something had gone wrong.
I also appreciated the fact that Lee still came outside afterwards to meet the fans although he had had a very busy weekend.
Well done to all concerned in this production, apart from the gremlins!
Ingrid W.
P.S. I have always enjoyed the Elvis pastiche but thought that the new Elvis song, although well sung, caused an unnecessary disruption and unbalance to the show.

Saturday 18th August
I had already seen the show once (21st July) with a friend, but I was looking forward to taking my Mum to see it, and by booking early (April - we kept the faith!) we had managed to get excellent seats - Stalls, Row C, slightly right of centre - just perfect.
The excitement level kept on rising in the theatre as 7.30pm approached, and just before curtain up we found out that John Alistair was to play the roles of Jacob / Potiphar. I was really pleased for John, as I have enjoyed his backstage blog on the Joseph site and thought this would be a great opportunity for him to shine. He didn't disappoint!
After the lovely prologue involving Preeya and the children, there was a huge cheer throughout the theatre as Lee appeared from on high - the grin on his face showed how he felt about our reaction! He must be so pleased to get such a warm welcome 8 times a week, and hopefully his confidence is growing as the level of public support he has is being confirmed, night after night.
The whole show is so spectacular that it's difficult to pick out highlights - the company is so strong and professional that there is no scene which is less than enthralling. We giggled, squealed, gasped and sat dumbstruck at appropriate points - and that was all before the interval.
Act 1 is so very strong and fast-moving that it's hard to choose a highlight, but I think the change from the pathos of 'Close Every Door' to the frenetic energy of 'Go Go Go Joseph' is expertly managed. The build up to the finale of Act 1 is really dramatic, and there's so much to see. I really loved that part of the show, so do watch out for it if you're planning a trip.
The ticker-tape at the end of the show was magical - because of where we were sitting, Lee rose above our heads and the ticker tape fell all around us - into our eyes, our mouths and our hair. It was such an exciting moment and it just underlined for me what a fabulous buzz Lee must get from performing the show every single night.
Now - about the performers. Dean and Preeya - both heroes - fabulous, charismatic, and confident. Both of them made eye contact with me and smiled at me as they were singing. The brothers, children and dancers were all on top form too - fantastic.
I haven't said much about Lee yet, probably because it's very difficult to know where to start. There aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe how exquisite he is. But I'll give it my best shot!
His voice sounded wonderful, tuneful and sweet. I would say that he was note-perfect all evening. He sang in a very controlled way, with a beautiful husky tone which we didn't hear much evidence of on TV. This may be because the Joseph songs are so much more appropriate for him - he sounded utterly lovely. His dancing, acting and comic timing were all a joy to behold too - what a delight to see a performer at the top of his game and clearly having the time of his life!
Overall: a magical night out. This is a show that you couldn't fail to enjoy. The whole company is fantastic and Lee is a shining young star en route for mega-stardom. John Barrowman said that he believed Lee would light up the West End for years to come - I'm with him all the way!

Saturday 18th August
I saw the evening performance and the tickets were my birthday present, I have to say it was the best birthday present I have received in a long time. The atmosphere was electric and I could feel the expectation on seeing Lee Mead. Lee was my favourite Joseph throughout the entire BBC competition and I was very excited on seeing him perform live. Lee’s performance was everything and more than I had expected his voice is amazing and his comedy timing is spot on, as for the rest of the cast they were also absolutely incredible. Preeya who played the narrator was fantastic her voice was amazing and she carried the story beautifully, the choir were also wonderful and proves there is great young talent in this country. By the end of the performance my voice was hoarse from all the cheering and screaming and my hands were raw from all the clapping it the best party I had been to for a while. I hope to see Joseph again before Lee moves on again thanks for a great night out.

Me and my sister were lucky enought to see joseph on Saturday the 18th of August at the matinee, as we have eagerly anticipated seeing it since we heard the show was making a comeback as it rightfully should be and we just had to write a review about the show. We have been fans of joseph since we were three years old and upon hearing that Lee was to star we couldn't wait to see it.
The show was every bit as wonderful as we expected it to be, the set was fantastic and the whole show was choreographed beautifully especially during the megamix. We were impressed by the whole casts singing ability which gave the show such an amzing energy throughout. Lee was absolutely fantastic as Joseph, he was extremely funny in the title role and was made for the part as he is a very good actor and as for his singing he shone throughout. All I can say is well done to everyone and we cannot wait to see it for a second time in November.

Friday 17th August
My husband & I had had tickets to see the show long before Lee was announced the winner. At the time I was really bothered who won as I thought all 3 finalists were great, but oh did the right man get the job. Lee was just superb and sounded even better live than on TV. He is so talented and quite rightly loving every minute of his new found fame.
I had read a few "dodgy" reviews about Preeya as the narrator but we both thought she was great. Dean as Pharaoh was really funny although sometimes it was hard to understand the words he was singing not sure if it was to do with volume or mic issues he was still great though.
I've got tickets to go again in February when I taken my little girl for a birthday treat (any excuse to see the show again!!) and cannot wait.

Friday 17th August
What a spectacular show!
I booked our tickets ages ago before Lee was announced as the winner of ‘any dream will do’ and it has to be said that Andrew Lloyd-Webber has done it again. Lee is fantastic as Joseph, a lovely strong voice which he uses to its best. The energy was brilliant and there is no weak link with any of the cast – everyone gives it their all. The comedy factor is there and boy is Dean Collinson absolutely brilliant as Pharaoh. Preeya was great as the narrator, and her interaction with the rest of the cast was lovely.
I loved the show and hope that Lee and the rest of the cast enjoy their forthcoming shows. If you haven’t seen it and want to – book your tickets now!
Thank you to everyone.

My wife and I saw the evening performance of Joseph on Friday 17 August 2007 and Wow, what a truly amazing show it was! From the very first moment, when the children's choir ran down the aisles onto the stage, to the very end, we were both totally absorbed in what was an amazing spectacle of singing, dancing and acting from probably the most talented cast we have ever had the privilege to see.
Llike many others, our main reason for wanting to see Jospeh was to see Lee Mead and he certainly did not let us down. From the moment he entered the stage, to a raptuous applause, he had us and the whole crowd eating out of his hands - you can certainly tell that he is loving every minute of this and is really living his dream. However, the supporting cast, including the absolutely amazing Preeya Kalidas were every bit as talented and impressive. The energy and enthusiasm that they all bring to this show makes it such an amazing spectacle and something that we will never forget.
This really is by far the greatest show we have ever seen - it's entertaining, emotional, exciting and funny - If you get the chance, you really should see this show - it is something you will never forget and the opportunity to see this cast bring a show like this together is something that we feel honoured to have experienced.
Go see it and you'll be amazed!
Paul & Carla

Me and my mum went to see Joseph on Friday 17th August in the evening and it was absolutely brilliant, the songs were great and so were all of the cast, especially Lee!. His voice was really good, and you could see that he was really enjoying it. We loved the whole show and the megamix was really good at the end as well, we would definitely come back and see the show again it was a great night, especially when Lee came out after the show and we got his autograph it was brilliant.

Wednesday 15th August, Matinee
I had bought my 9 year old daughter a ticket to see Joseph as part of her birthday present. My daughter and I had watched any dream will do from the very start. I had always wanted Lee to win but my daughter wanted Keith to win. Every week we would vote, I would register at least one more vote for Lee than my daughter would for Keith. By the end of Wednesday's show my daughter said she was glad that Lee had won as she really believed Lee was Joseph.
We had fantastic seats in the stalls. When Lee came on stage the crowd went mad, as did I, much to my daughters horror.
I never imaged that the show would of been as good as it was. Lee was excellent. Very believable, very natural. He shone when he was on stage. I found I had a massive smile permanently on my face, as did my daughter. We were both blown away with Lee performance, as well as every one else's. The whole show was fantastic right from the performers, costumes, music to the sets. My only complaint is the show was over so quickly.
I know that we would of enjoyed the show hugely with who ever had won the show, but I have to say that what made it more special for me was the fact that I had wanted Lee to win from the very start and that he was just so brilliant and he was better than I could of ever imagined. Both our hands ached with all the clapping that we did and our faces were aching with all the smiling that we did.
The icing on the cake for my daughter (me to) was when we left the theatre Lee was standing outside. He came across as a really lovely man.
I can't imagine anyone going to see the show and not liking it. WELL DONE LEE!!!!!!
When we got back to our hotel my daughter (who has decided she wants to be an actress) said when I am older I want to be on the stage with Lee. Fingers crossed that comes true then!.
I have already put hints out to my family that I would love to see the show again, I'm hoping they take the hint and buy me tickets for my birthday.
Lisa.

Wednesday 15th August matinee
We bought my daughter and her friend to see the show for her 16th birthday as they are the biggest fans of Lee.Wearing their Lee t-shirts they sat and waited for the show to start. As soon as Lee appeared they burst into tears, the moment was here. They sat,as we all did, with the biggest smiles on their faces, here was the man they'd voted for week after week.We knew Lee would be good but his performance was greater than our expectations x 100!!and more.Fiona was excellent as the narrator and the rest of the cast were so full of energy and enthusiasm.Lee's smile lights up the stage-what a show. Our hands were sore from all the clapping!Well done everyone. The icing on the cake for my daughter was meeting Lee out the front of the theatre and he was so lovely to sign her poster and chat.
Thank you,it is a birthday my daughter will never forget!! I'm sure we will be re-visiting the show soon!

Tuesday 14th August
The only production of Joseph I had ever seen beforehand was at school, and i was very young, so admittedly could not remember the story. This made it all the better when the show started, as i had no idea what to expect. Like the rest of the audience, i was looking forward most to seeing Lee Mead, and even though i am slightly biased, I thought he was incredible. Note perfect the whole night, as were the rest of the cast, it was evident that even after almost a month, Lee was still going strong! Preeya Kallidas was amazing as the Narrator, and it's hard to see where on earth her huge voice comes from considering her small frame. As i have said, the rest of the cast were also fantastic, especially Neal Wright as Judah and Dean Collinson as the Pharoah! The show was modern, colourful, upbeat, all singing all dancing, glorious fun. I could not stop smiling. There was alot of humour, which was unexpected, yet welcomed with open arms by the audience. The dancing was fantastic. Obviously i cannot sing this musicals praises high enough! From the first sight of Lee (to which the audience gave a huge cheer) right to the end note, the whole thing was perfect. It was obvious that Lee appreciated the standing ovation and you could tell he was so grateful to be there. That made it all the more heart warming. It's definately a must see, and i am going again! We love Lee!!!
Michael

Joseph was my first real theatre experience and although I was expecting the quality to be high I was still blown away when I got there.
Everyone's voices were superbly rich and stong and there was barely a bad note to be heard through the whole evening and, considering there were a couple of sections that required real musicallity, I was very impressed. The dances were seamless and obviously well practiced but the sense of fun was still stong. The production was very proffesional and the (short) times of some of the changes displayed the organisation and support if those backstage. Lastly, the in house orchestra were amazing and they completed the performance. Looking down at the conductors score after the curtains had closed confirmed the talent that the musicians had to accompany the performers throughout the night. I hope that they are given the credit that they deserve.
If I had to sum it up for others, all I would need to say is that the smile never left my face for the whole of that performance and a long time afterwards, around 3 weeks later I am still singing all of the songs and I am trying to organise a return visit. It's well worth the money!
I certainly hope that there are plans to record the whole preformance and release a DVD including behind the scenes extras!!!
Rhiannon

I had been to see this show twice when I was a little girl and wanted to take my 6 year old daughter to see it this time round. She enjoyed watching the TV show with me while we tried to decide who would win and become the new Joseph. She favoured Lee from the beginning!
We saw the theatre performance on Saturday 11th August and absolutely loved it. The songs are always great but Lee made them so much more. He has a unique lovely voice. My daughter hasn't stopped singing "Any dream will do" and made me buy it from itunes asap. Mind you she isn't the only one singing it, its kind of a family thing now. We all wonder about humming or singing it.
I had forgotten how funny the show is too. The bit with the snake is soooo funny. Kept us all laughing and Lee just looked so at ease and happy on stage. Really professional and a pleasure to watch.
The narrator is beautiful and sings like an angel. The kids in the show are brilliant. So young and yet so unafraid and inspirational. My daughter now wants to perform like them.
I loved the fact that you didn't use to many complicated special effects. Everything was so simple and yet so perfect also. It was all about the singing and having a good time.
Although the tickets were expensive it was definitely money well spent. Just wish I could afford to go every week. Would love to go and see Lewis performing when Lee is off.
