Exclusive pics!! The first Joseph Sing Through!!

Last week saw the end of our four weeks in the rehearsal studios and on Saturday afternoon came one of the most eagerly anticipated events in any musical rehearsal period – the Sitzprobe.  Translated literally as ‘seated rehearsal’ this is the moment when the cast and the orchestra come together for the first time to sing through the show, after rehearsing separately.  After weeks of rehearsing with piano only it’s a hugely exciting moment for everyone to hear how the show is actually going to sound in the theatre. 

It was a fantastic and very special afternoon.  A truly great end to the first part of the rehearsal period, which we celebrated with a few bottles of champagne!  Today the cast move into their new home at the Adelphi Theatre and start technical rehearsals – adding the set, costumes, wigs, lighting and sound elements to the music, choreography and staging which they have already learned.
