Lee Mead releases new single YOU AND ME on March 10th
In late 2007 Lee Mead hung up his technicolour dream coat (for a while) and recorded a debut album. An album that has already been certified gold and revealed the West End superstar as a hugely talented solo pop artist. In 2008 Lee returns with the second single from his album, You And Me. Set for release on March 10TH, this sunny, heartfelt ballad showcases Lee’s gentle side as his strip-backed vocals combine with raw acoustic guitar and soaring strings to create a love song with edge. You And Me is one of the many standout tracks among an eclectic mix of covers and original tracks that feature on his eponymous debut. Other highlights include the Rolling Stones classic Paint It Black alongside When I Need You the Most, a track written especially for Lee by Take That member and songwriter, Gary Barlow and Stronger, an acoustic version on the Sugababes chart topping hit. Since winning ‘Any Dream Will Do’ in 2007, Lee’s career has gone from strength to strength. He has been the star attraction of ‘Joseph And The Technicolour Dreamcoat’ for the past year; playing to sold out West End theatres seven times a week, performed on Children In Need and won several awards including the highly esteemed ‘Rear Of The Year’.
