Joseph the musical - Stephen TateTraining: Royal Ballet School and dancing with the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera companies.

Theatre includes: creating and playing roles including Judas in the original production of Jesus Christ Superstar, Zach in the original British cast of A Chorus Line, Gus and Growltiger in Cats, Richard I in Blondel, Count Almaviva in Figaro, Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet and Clyde Gabriel in The Witches of Eastwick (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and Prince of Wales). Other West End: Charlie Girl, Canterbury Tales, The French Have a Song For It and Phil the Fluter. Other theatre includes: Emcee in Cabaret, Dad in Billy Liar, Van Helsing in John Godber’s Dracula, Razor in The Provok’d Wife, recently, Dr Frank in Die Fledermaus and Gremin in Eugene Onegin (both MLT Opera) and, most recently, Thénardier in Les Misérables.

Directing includes: The Blue Angel (Bristol Old Vic), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Savoy) and Mack and Mabel (Aldwych). Stephen was resident director of Return to the Forbidden Planet and Cats.

Television includes: Survivors, Blake’s 7, Emmerdale, Yes Minister, Big Deal, Blackadder I, Casualty, Minder, Boon, The Bill, Wycliffe, Kavanagh QC, Silent Witness and, most recently, Monsignor Renard.
